New Tecumseth lies a bit west of County Road 27 between Highway 89 and Highway 9 to the south. It is mostly rural farmland along with the larger communities of Alliston, Beeton and Tottenham and some smaller ones such as Allimil, Green Briar, Nicolston, Penville, Randall, Rich Hill, Schomberg Heights and Thompsonville.
Alliston, at Highway 89 and the Adjala-Tecumseth Townline, is the largest neighbourhood for real estate sales, and sometimes includes the condominium townhomes and new homes of Green Briar. Alliston, itself, has a great variety of sales including older century and heritage homes, townhouses, semi-detached and linked homes along with many detached homes in affordable price ranges.
Beeton is almost at the centre of New Tecumseth. Like Alliston, there is a mix of heritage and newer homes. There are some links, but most are detached and of an affordable price range.
Tottenham to the south has a mix of townhouses, semi-detached and detached models. The price range is affordable, but many detached homes appeal to buyers looking in higher price ranges. Being just north of Highway 9, it is very attractive to residents of York and Peel Regions.
Most of the properties for sale in Rural New Tecumseth are detached homes on larger lots with 2 or more acres of land on the various county sideroads.
There are many real estate opportunities in New Tecumseth for those buyers and sellers looking for a more relaxed, quieter lifestyle. As well, many local amenities such as
Stevenson Memorial Hospital and recreational attractions such as
Earl Rowe Provincial Park, the
Nottawasaga Inn Resort,
Centre Ice Sportsplex, the Nottawasaga River and the
Tottenham Conservation Area make these opportunities even more attractive. Pressure in the form of higher prices, however, is always present due to the influx of buyers in neighbouring towns and community.
